We took part in the International Migraine and Headache Conference

On 20 December 2025, at the 1st Annual International Conference of the Azerbaijan Public Union of Migraine Specialists (AMMİB), held in the city of Baku, the co-founder of the Union and chair of the Organising Committee Dr Sarkhan Amirguliyev took part.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Dr Sarkhan Amirguliyev welcomed the participants and said that the main aim of the conference was to widen the possibilities for diagnosing and treating headache and migraine, to share international experience and to strengthen regional cooperation. He also stressed that holding the conference on the eve of the 60th anniversary of Professor Messoud Ashina, founder of AMMİB and member of its Board, carried particular significance.

As part of the conference's scientific programme Dr Sarkhan Amirguliyev gave a presentation, and he also acted as session chair for the session devoted to the links between migraine and its comorbid conditions. The session held scientific discussions on migraine and depression, epilepsy and stroke.

On 3–6 December, in the city of Lisbon in Portugal, the EHC25 — the 19th European Headache Congress of the European Headache Federation was held, and the head of the Migraine and Headache Centre, Dr Sarkhan Amirguliyev, took part in it.
